Dry quenching heat-resistant plate

The coke tank of the dry quenching device is used to transport red coke at around 1000℃pushed out from the carbonization chamber,and to cooperate with other equipment to load the red coke into the dry quenching furnace.The coke tank is composed of a welded structural framework and a lining plate,which is used to protect the coke tank structure from burning out.The coke generated at the furnace head is easy to adhere to the lining plate of the coke tank,causing long-term high temperature in the local area of the lining plate,causing deformation,cracking,damage,and detachment of the lining plate.The fixed hook behind the lining plate,because it is not cast as a whole with the lining plate,is prone to fall off when heated,resulting in the lining plate falling off as a whole due to the impact of coke when rotating and connecting the coke tank.The detached lining plate enters the dry quenching furnace with the red coke,which blocks the rotating sealing valve during the coke discharge process,causing difficulty in coke discharge in the dry quenching system.

Strict measures should be taken to handle coke discharge faults,reducing the speed of the circulating fan to a low level,and at the same time,the load of the generator unit should also be reduced to a low level.Generally,3-4 people need to wear air respirators and hand stews for rotation,with a processing time of about 1 hour.It takes at least 4 hours to replace the lining plate of the coke tank,which affects the stable operation of the dry quenching system.

Improvement measures

After analysis and research,it has been decided to modify the installation method of the lining plate,that is,to cast two pieces on both sides of the original hook that can be worn throughΦCylindrical holes for 15mm bolts(completed by the lining plate manufacturer),then made of stainless steel plate for 150×150mm square gasket for later useΦ15mm bolts fix the gasket and lining plate to the frame of the coke tank.

Practice has shown that the service life of the modified lining plate can be extended to more than 6 months.At the same time,through a planned maintenance of 8 hours per month,the fastening of all fixed bolts can be checked to prevent the lining plate from falling off,and the passive unplanned maintenance can be changed to active planned maintenance.This way,even if the lining plate is deformed or broken,it will not fall off,fundamentally avoiding the occurrence of accidents in the dry quenching furnace caused by the lining plate falling off.

After the transformation of the lining plate of the rotary coke tank for dry quenching,over a year of production practice has shown that the service life of the lining plate is significantly extended,thereby shortening the replacement cycle of the lining plate,reducing production costs,and ensuring production continuity.At the same time,it also reduces the labor intensity of workers,and its economic benefits are significant,with certain promotion and application value.
